Hi, my name is Yuri Teixeira. I was born and raised in Angola — a beautiful country in Southern Africa. In 2016 I moved to Portugal in search of new opportunities and a wider horizon.
In 2018 I took my first steps into QA testing at uTest's CrowdTesting platform. It was a turning point — I discovered a real passion for software testing and quality assurance, and the fascination of making products meet the highest standards.
The following year I joined TesterWork, taking part in test cycles for some of the world's most distinctive companies — Thales, Microsoft, Instagram, Facebook, Beyond Identity and many others.
Alongside freelance work, I've held full-time positions as a QA Engineer, mostly in Finance. I love the pace, the stakes, and helping companies hit their quality bar — including hands-on work with the FIX Protocol (Financial Information Exchange) for testing trading and order-routing systems.
I'm also a crypto enthusiast and enjoy supporting DEX projects in ensuring the quality of their protocols. I believe blockchain has the power to reshape the world — and good QA is part of how it gets there.
